chopped

This is Gen Z slang meaning ‘ugly’, said to have originated in Black American English, possibly in the New York/Jersey district.  The theory is that it relates to chop meaning ‘to cut roughly’ and that chopped means ‘misshapen’ as if roughly cut. I wouldn’t swear to that etymology but it is all that is on offer at the moment.  Initially chopped was a descriptor of the face, then of physical looks generally, but then it extended to cover other things, events, etc., that were displeasing, so it came to mean ‘bad or undesirable’.
