desk bombing

One of the things we have learnt to value during the pandemic is working at home in peace and quiet, without all the distractions at the office.  So whereas pre-COVID you might have indulged the person who suddenly planted themselves at your desk, possibly to discuss some work, possibly just to have a chat, now you resent the intrusion because it breaks your concentration and drags your mind away from what you were engaged in.

The bombing part is analogous with photo bombing where someone, just as the photo is being taking, invades the space and is included in the shot.  A desk bomber provokes the same sense of outrage.
