limb-lengthening

Limb-lengthening is a medical procedure undertaken to correct birth defects, injuries and the effects of disease, but it is now being done for cosmetic reasons. As a cosmetic procedure it is also called stature lengthening.  Men, in particular, feel that they do better in life if they are tall.  The procedure, put simply, involves making a careful cut of the bone, attaching the two pieces of bone together and then pulling them apart by about a centimetre a day to encourage regrowth of bone in the crack.  Do this for several months and then put up with a long period of rehabilitation and you will be taller, but at what a price. It has increased in popularity in recent times, with online testimonials driving it.
