Let’s start with the pixie haircut which seems to be longish on top and short and wispy around the edges.  Then turn to the bob which is smooth and longish, finishing somewhere between the chin and the shoulders, although some bobs can have longer bangs in front.  Combine the bob with the pixie and you have the bixie which offers almost the length of the bob (so chin-length or a little longer) with the layered texture and jagged edges of the pixie.
