Ohio
This use of Ohio to mean ‘daggy, weird’ comes from a meme called Only in Ohio. I find it surprising that Australian kids would respond to this but the universality of memes seems to be enough to make it fashionable even in Oz. Yes, the Americans regard Ohio as a place where strange things can happen but do we get this, do we care? I don’t believe that Ohio will last in Australian slang although the expression Ohio rizz may become something in its own right. This is creepy behaviour that is meant to be flirtatious but comes off very badly. You have to feel sorry for the Ohioans.
Just to prove me wrong:
Fatima Payman addressed the Senate and called Albanese the "CEO of Ohio" in a two-minute speech littered with terms typically only used by people under the age of 25.
